Work experiences - assistant // " Il re muore" (E.Ionesco) (2007)
For this production I had the big chance to work with one of the best italian Set designer,
Maurizio Balò, who signed this impressive spider web texture for the entire castle.
The challenge has been to reproduce the magic effect of the maquette on a big size. The material , a sort of lint, has been stressed and enlarged by hand and painted in a bath of different shades of grey.
The effect was emotionally very close to the decay of the king and his kingdom.

The Old Greek Theater of Syracuse rapresents one of the most magic place in the world for theater lovers. Try to imagine you're watching to a tragedy just into the place where thousands years ago someone wrote it. Extremly awesome.
In this connection between past and present and the endless themes of old tragedies the director Pietro Carriglio designed this massive set for the cycle of Orestea.
My role , as assistant and supervisor has been full of responsabilities and required a consistent presence of problem solving skills, but the result has been a good success.
Several kilometers of ropes, an enourmous amount of stairs and surfaces material used to complete the work, thanks also to the incredible technical support by the "INDA" foundation team, gave a visual idea of the big efforts behind a production like this.

Nel 2008 con l'attore e regista Luciano Roman, ho preso parte allo sviluppo di quello che sarebbe poi diventato lo spettacolo " Anima", sulla vita di Leonardo Da Vinci. Ecco la ricerca sullo spazio applicata alle possibilità di un cubo di estendersi e definire superfici sempre diverse per delle video proiezioni e giochi di luce. Nonostante abbia dovuto abbandonare il progetto , resta un interessante esercizio creativo.

Le "Ubu Roi" et ses personnages sont un exceptionel example du théâtre de l'absurd et du grotesque. Son royaume est un playground , ses sujets des joueurs!

Le décor est surtout astuce et savoir faire. A étè suffisant d'utiliser du papier, de la colle et une bonne vernis metallique pour obtenir un éffet tridimensionel plutot interessant.

In this set , by the director Pietro Carriglio, the actress Galatea Ranzi , plays the role of a young lady,
she goes on a swing above shakespearean words.
